With a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline, Berry Park in Williamsburg is the perfect place to take in a summer sunset while catching up on green happenings in and around the City. We’ll be taking it easy on the spacious rooftop beer garden which offers a wide variety of German draught beers to cool off after a long day. Our name tags will get you $5 Paulaner and $7 frozen drinks, and if you’re hungry, Berry Park also offers a great bar menu, with all of their meats coming from small, sustainable farms.

For December, we’re getting into the holiday spirit by partnering with Build it Green! NYC for their Crafted at the Canal event.
Crafted at the Canal will host many of Brooklyn’s best local artisans selling fair trade, handmade or reuse/upcycled items and gifts amidst the wonderful atmosphere of the new Build it Green! NYC location in Gowanus. If you’ve never been to Build it Green! NYC you’re missing out – so come join us for the finest in local goods, green company, and one free beer from Brooklyn Brewery! One beer not enough? Well, a cash bar will also be serving $4 beers and $5 wine.

This month, stay cool and be cool at Bar Sepia in Prospect Heights.
This classy joint on Underhill, about equidistant from Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Museum, pre-existed the rapid development that has been sweeping over Prospect Heights, and has been a veteran neighborhood haunt for years. They serve a host of drafts and cocktails, which can be enjoyed under tin ceiling or clear skies on an open patio.

Back by popular demand, we are heading to Flatbush Farm and Bar(n) for our September event.
With a slammin’ outdoor garden and an amazing local drink and food line up, the Bar(n) is one of BKGD’s all time favorite spots. Local seasonal fare is available with ingredients fresh from Guy Jones’ Blooming Hill Farm. To wash it down, the bar boasts four local and fifteen seasonal brews. If you missed it last time, bar owner and master mixologist, Jason Roberts, is still offering “the Garden Snake”, a refreshing concoction of organic gin, fresh cucumber juice, a squeeze of lemon, topped off with a splash of soda.

Summer is in full swing, and the farmers’ markets are calling. In homage to this season’s local Brooklyn bounty, we are holding our June event at Flatbush Farm & Bar(n), a gastronomic tavern that employs sustainable agriculture and seasonal local ingredients.
Wet your whistle at The Bar(n) with one of the nineteen seasonal beers, including four local brews on tap, or choose from a list of unique and extraordinary wines from the area. For those feeling fancy in their organic summer threads, cool down with a creative seasonal cocktail, such as this summer’s mixology masterpiece, the Garden Snake with organic gin, cucumber juice, thai basil and lemon soda. Network and unwind with your fellow environmentalists in the spacious rustic interior or on the patio outfitted with outdoor ovens. We look forward to seeing you there!
