Featuring local (to Brooklyn where possible) fare and drink — including a great variety of coffee, tea, and kombucha — all in beautiful open space, it’s clear why this public house is a favorite.

Hoist yourself to Halyards in Gowanus for a fancy cocktail, cheese sandwich, and to donate to Occupy Sandy.
Halyards is a wonderful old-school bar on the blossoming stretch of 3rd Avenue in Gowanus. They boast skilled takes on classic cocktails and various small plates of cheese and charcuterie, as well as pool and party games to keep booths busy in between chatting up Green. Or, try their Crockpot Special just for us Green Drinkers: a bowl of stew bread and a beer pint or glass of wine for $10.
Additionally, we’ll be taking donations for the superlative recovery efforts of Occupy Sandy.

Face the oncoming chill with your fellow Green Drinkers at Clinton Hill’s The Emerson.
This low-key bar and lounge, a favorite of locals and nearby Pratt grads, boasts a cavernous space of luxuriously large booths, a pool table, 12 beer taps, and literary-themed cocktails including the eponymous gin-grounded Emerson and the brandy brandishing Sir Walter Scott. (Sorry, couldn’t resist the alliteration in this context!)

Scale more than just the mid-week hump this month as BKLYN Green Drinks comes to New York City’s largest fully-dedicated rock-climbing gym: Brooklyn Boulders!
If you’re up to the challenge, for a special price of $20, you’ll get gear, a gym orientation, and as much climbing as you can handle before the night’s over. And if you’re not into climbing, we’ll also have our normal totally free socializing with a special (literal) twist: Brooklyn Boulders doesn’t allow alcohol, so we’re excited to announce freshly made soda provided by Soda Stream (and NYC’s wonderful tap water), and flavored by syrups from Brooklyn’s own P&H Soda Co!
After 9PM, we’ll wrap things up at Brooklyn Boulders and head on over to the nearby Sheep Station to warm down in their great patio space.

With a spectacular view of the Manhattan skyline, Berry Park in Williamsburg is the perfect place to take in a summer sunset while catching up on green happenings in and around the City. We’ll be taking it easy on the spacious rooftop beer garden which offers a wide variety of German draught beers to cool off after a long day. Our name tags will get you $5 Paulaner and $7 frozen drinks, and if you’re hungry, Berry Park also offers a great bar menu, with all of their meats coming from small, sustainable farms.
